About Life Coaching
In days gone by, in societies that were more united and concerned with survival, people of all ages and genders were encouraged to be the best that they can be, so their contributions to the society made a major difference to the level of survival achieved. Each person counted. Each person mattered. Each person was either an asset or a liability.
The number of people/members in these societies was low, as per today's terms.
Alas, today we are many more. Today, our societies are so large that we hardly know each other.
That is not to say that we have changed the most important fundamentals namely, each person is response-able for themselves. Each person has the power of choice and Free Will therefore, you have to make your own choices while thinking of your highest good and the highest good of all.
Think how wonderful it could be if all the members of our societies will be happy, will feel powerful, because they would know that they stand tall, and no one can belittle or control them.
Life coaching can help us move forward in that direction.
A quote from the agreement Experiential Elixir has with its clients:
"...I will be honored to be in the position of working with you as your personal Life Coach. While working together, it is important that we establish an open and cooperative working relationship that will help you to clearly define and achieve your personal goals. As your Coach, I will be your advocate and supporter as you make your way to develop what you wish to create in your life.
The Role of the Coach and Client:
The role of both the coach and the client, are that of peers. As a trained professional, I am not licensed as a therapist, or psychologist, and do not attempt to provide diagnosis or treatment of any kind.
I will help you decide the best way to help you achieve what you want to achieve, while providing you with my honest Coaching opinions (not advice); however, our coaching relationship is always based on your agenda, not mine. I listen, reflect, ask questions, provide prospective and opinions. I support you to find and foster your own integrity, and I believe that you always inwardly know what is really best for you.
As my client, I ask you to show up fully prepared and present for each coaching session, pay attention to what has heart and meaning for you. I fully expect that you will always speak the truth, and without blame or judgment be open to an outcome, rather than attached to an outcome. I will do the same. I expect your best. If you are hiring me, I imagine that you are ready to make meaningful changes in yourself and your life. Our working relationship is top priority for me. I ask that you use me as the resource that I am.
The Coaching relationship is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of psychotherapy. In the event that the client feels the need for professional counseling or therapy, it is the responsibility of the client to seek a licensed professional.
Communication & Confidentiality:
Please feel free to share with me your stories, your wins and disappointments. As we proceed, I ask that you speak openly regarding your coaching experience. I need to know what works for you and what does not. I am committed to serving your needs through this process. If I hear something in your voice or notice something that may be amiss, I am likely to ask you about it. Often, it is the small moments that bring about the biggest shifts for you.
Our coaching relationship is completely confidential. The Coach recognizes that the Client may disclose future plans, business affairs and personal and financial information. The Coach will not at any time, share this information with a third party. The Coach realizes that the Client may have future plans, business dealings and proprietary information. The Coach will not at any time, either directly or indirectly, use any such information for the Coach’s own benefit and/or disclose it to a third party..."
